Summary: We’re calling all young designers, activists, entrepreneurs, and artists to take part in a one-week making summer school to explore the future of urban waterscapes in Kortrijk. During the second week of September, 25 selected participants will ideate and prototype 5 interventions that will reflect on a specific water-related territorial challenge, each one held in collaboration with a social impact enterprise.
Description: The summer school will be hosted by Bolwerk, in collaboration with Hangar K and the network of Kortrijk’s universities.
Through this hands-on educational experience, you will have the chance to explore different projectual methodologies, crafts, and processes by working in a team with mixed expertise and thanks to the coaching sessions and keynotes of a team of experts.
We are looking for anyone under the age of 30 who would like to tackle spatial, social, and environmental challenges with a team of like-minded people in a creative environment.
The summer school is free but travel and accommodation expenses are not included.
