Summary: The design challenge intends to develop the neighborhood of Koundampalayam as an integral part of Coimbatore, sharing its ecological heritage with the city and its immediate neighborhood. These ideas should be tied with the basic principles of urban design, that consider environmental, social, and cultural sustainability of the neighborhood and its residents.
