Description: Works included in the Finnish and international modern and contemporary art collections of the Sara Hildén Foundation and changing exhibitions of Finnish and international art are displayed at the Sara Hildén Art Museum. The new museum building will be located in the Finlayson area, which is a nationally significant built cultural environment (the Finnish Heritage Agency’s inventory of nationally significant built cultural environments, RKY) consisting of repurposed former industrial buildings. The new museum building will be designed as part of a historical environment and block structure. The competition area borders on Wilhelm von Nottbeck Park, which is significant in terms of cultural history.
