Summary: Within the framework of the Europe Housing Forum, the European Housing Innovation Awards 2021 has the objective to showcase and reward meaningful initiatives that, through innovation and collaboration, contribute to solutions for affordable housing in Europe.

Additionally, the European Housing Innovation Awards is inserted in the context of the Global “Top 100” Affordable Housing Innovations, to be assembled by Habitat for Humanity International (HFHI) with the support of the Hilti Foundation. The Global Top 100 Affordable Housing Innovations seeks to promote innovation in adequate and affordable housing solutions across the board in a multitude of sectors in order to decrease the housing deficit.
Thus, the European Housing Innovation Awards incentivizes applications showcasing initiatives
in Europe that promote solutions to challenges related to affordable housing (please note that
the initiatives proposed must take place in Europe).
The goal is to accelerate the adoption and adaptation of the most promising housing innovations by facilitating dialogue, fostering interaction and collaboration, and driving resources to the world’s cutting-edge initiatives in affordable housing.
Winners of the European Housing Innovation Awards will be considered for the Global “Top 100” Affordable Housing Innovations to be assembled by Habitat for Humanity International with the support of the Hilti Foundation.
This competition has three categories:
— Public Policies Awards
— Best Practices Awards supported by Whirlpool
— ShelterTech Award for Technology supported by the Hilti Foundation
